One with the entire Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in commemorating the 105th anniversary of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS),  CWS officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Leyte West, in the Philippines, attended simultaneous special gatherings on November 18, 2023.

Brother Marvin Garlitos, district supervising minister, led the occasion at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Ormoc City; Brother Fernando Galapon, assistant district supervising minister, at that of Naval Congregation.

The officiating ministers preached a biblical lesson emphasizing the importance of the role of CWS in helping parents rear their children as Christians according to God’s will written in the Bible as the sole guidance. Thus, the CWS officers were urged to remain one with the Church Administration in caring for the children entrusted to their care.

After the biblical preaching, more CWS officers took oath of office. “I’m so thankful to the Lord God for entrusting me this duty. I truly believe that this is a chance for me to show genuine concern and care for the children of the Church in obedience to God’s will,” said Ismael Torre, a newly sworn-in CWS teacher from the Local Congregation of Matag-ob.

“I’m proud to be a CWS teacher and I will always be thankful for this calling from God. There might be tests along the way, but through the guidance of the Church Administration, I will continue upholding my Church duties. May God help me as I fulfill what He expects from me,” said Jhoana Fortuna, a newly sworn-in CWS teacher from the Local Congregation of Palompon. — With reports from Alyza Apsay of the INC News Section
