The Buklod organization, which was established 61 years ago, continues to be of help to the married members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in maintaining a strong husband-wife relationship and in leading God-fearing households. To celebrate such milestone and further fulfill that noble purpose, the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii-Pacific hosted a Buklod Night at the Koolau Ballrooms dining hall in Oahu Island on November 19, 2023.

The night was filled with musical performances from choral groups and soloists, followed by fun activities, and a sumptuous dinner. “A really good way to unwind, have fun, and at the same time enhance that Christian brotherhood,” said Ryan Barnachea.

“We really had fun. This activity is a real breather from our busy schedule. It gave me time to go out with my wife,” affirmed Kel Canteros, who attended the event with his wife, Apple.

In his closing remarks, Brother Gem Baitan, district supervising minister, shared advice to the couples that no matter how busy they may be, they must be the first ones prioritizing their worship and services to God, and always united in all the Church’s works. This in turn, he added, will ensure a bright future for their respective households. — With reports from Hawaii-Pacific District Multimedia
