A total of 310 brethren took oath of office during the district-wide special gatherings of Church officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Agusan Del Norte, in the Philippines.

The first of the said occasions was held on June 25, 2023 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Butuan City, and of the Local Congregations of Cabadbaran, and Santiago, which connected to the former via livestreaming.

Brother Ruel Zapata, district supervising minister, officiated, emphasizing to all attendees the significance of the Church officers’ role for the spiritual welfare of the brethren. That is why as helpers of the Church Administration in tending the chosen people of God in the last days, he added, they must fulfill their duties wholeheartedly. After the biblical preaching, the oath-taking of 256 new officers followed.

A newly sworn choir member, Princess Mae Santillan, from the Local Congregation of Ampayon, enthused, “I am very grateful to God for entrusting me this duty. I will devote myself in fulfilling it.”

“This holy gathering has all the more inspired me to continue fulfilling my duty of looking after the brethren entrusted to my care,” said Mark Estorba, a head deacon from the Local Congregation of Manapa.

Two weeks later, on July 9, special gatherings of finance officers in the district were simultaneously held at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Santiago, Cabadbaran, Butuan City, and Buenavista.
