More senior citizen-ministers from the various ecclesiastical districts in the Philippines were treated to a three-day Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) Heritage Tour, which was held from April 3 to 5, 2023.

The seasoned ministers visited The Garden and the Philippine Arena, both of which are located within the Ciudad de Victoria Complex in Bocaue, Bulacan, on the first day. The following day, Church officers from the Bulacan Ecclesiastical District welcomed them in the Candy Land Cafe, another attraction in the said complex.

“The officers from the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) organized a short musical presentation for the ministers, together with their respective wives,” said Brother Genesis Marco Rico, district CFO overseer, who supervised the program in the café. “During the activity, the couples enjoyed an evening of INC original music performances by KADIWA and Binhi members and a sumptuous dinner together,” he added.

On the third and final day of the tour, the ministers were given the opportunity to visit some of the historical sites of the Church, such as the house of worship compound of the Local Congregation of F. Manalo in San Juan, where the mausoleum of Brother Felix Manalo is situated and the INC Central Office was once housed, the INC Museum in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila, and the Felix Y. Manalo birthplace historical marker in Tipas, Taguig.

“I’m truly delighted for the experience,” expressed Brother Jeremias Fernandez, a minister assigned in the Cagayan South Ecclesiastical District. “During our time, when we were still studying in the ministry, there were still no edifices of the Church yet like the ones that we’ve recently visited. Now, we can evidently see the Church’s growth.”

Another minister, Brother Ruben Licera who is assigned in Cebu City, Cebu Ecclesiastical District, thanked God and the Church Administration for giving them this memorable activity to enjoy. He said, “I can feel the love and concern of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, to us. He remembers our many years of labors in the ministry. I promise to be always one with him in leading the brethren towards salvation.” — With reports from INC News Section
