Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga East, in the Philippines, participated in a blood donation activity held at a mall in San Fernando, Pampanga, on September 23, 2023.

Led by district supervising minister Brother Bhel John Ubaldo, this blood donation was made possible with the collaborative efforts of the Church’s Social Services Office (SSO), the district’s Christian Medical Dental Paramedical Society (CMDPS), the Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) officers, and the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital that was also the event’s beneficiary.

Volunteer brethren first availed free medical services, such as blood typing and checking. A total of 190 bags of blood were then collected from qualified donors.

“I’ve been a regular donor and I thank God for again letting me so. Donating blood is a great way of expressing care for my fellowmen. This is obedience to the Savior’s command that we must show love to those in need,” said Brother Nujee Canlas, a ministerial worker assigned at the Local Congregation of Bunesuceso.

Another donor, Ladylyn Pascual from the Local Congregation of Sampaga, said, “What really motivated me to donate is the fact that blood (for transfusion) is pricy here in our country. I’m so glad for being here in this event of the Church that will be of help to someone in need. It is really a joy to help others.” — With reports from Alyssa Musni of INC News Section
