Married members from the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South, in the Philippines, showed their concern for their fellowmen, members and nonmembers alike, through an activity dubbed “Buklod Cares.” It was held at Malunggay Covered Court, Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, on August 26, 2023.

The Buklod members, together with the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers, conducted a medical mission. They offered free check-up, such as blood pressure monitoring, then gave free medicines, dentures, vitamins, and even clothes, among others.

“It is heartwarming to see that many people benefited from this activity,” Arra Sheila Guia, a Buklod officer and one of the organizers, said.

“I’m overjoyed for the free denture I received. For a long time I yearned to have this,” Rosemarie Arguelles, a deaconess and one of the beneficiaries, expressed. “This concern that the Church Administration has shown to us has been an added inspiration as I continue fulfilling my duties to the Lord God.” — With reports from Marjorie Castillo of INC News Section
