Metro Manila South celebrates first anniversary with a musical program

The 23 local congregations composing the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South convened at the Villar Coliseum along Alabang-Zapote Road in Las Piñas City, Philippines on September 3, 2023 to celebrate the district’s first anniversary.
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members’ celebratory mood was evident throughout the significant occasion with a musical program which was filled with inspiring moments. Various choral groups from the district, including talented brethren from the Iglesia Ni Cristo Production Company (INCPC), performed song ang dance renditions of INC original music.
“The [musical] program brought inspiration to the brethren that strengthened their faith. The message of the songs has even more solidified the brethren’s commitment in always submitting to the Executive Minister,” said Brother Jimuel Gatchalian, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer.
Jessica Gabriel, a choir member from the Muntinlupa Local Congregation, brought her fellow brethren in her area, to witness the special occasion. “We were so excited for the event. The whole atmosphere of the activity was full of happiness,” said Jessica.
Among those who performed were siblings, Paulo and Ma. Angela Garcia, of the Muntinlupa Chorus. Angela expressed, “My heart was overjoyed seeing the brethren’s smile on their faces and enjoying the activity.” Paulo added, “We are thankful to God for placing a Church Administration that truly loves and has a genuine concern to each one of us.”
The highlight of the event was the reading of the message from the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, by the district supervising minister, Brother Jerick S. dela Cruz. It partially says, “… Kaya, nakapanatili kayo sa inyong kahalalan. Iningatan at kinalinga [kayo ng Diyos] sa gitna ng laganap na kahirapan at kabalisahan [… That is why you remained in your divine election. God protected and took care of you amid difficulties and worries].
In an interview after the activity, Brother dela Cruz stated, “As the Church commemorates the 14th anniversary of the dynamic leadership of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the District of Metro Manila South will always be one with him in all the Church’s holy endeavors.
