The Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu, in the Philippines, hosted baptisms four times on the month of May 2023. It paved the way for more Cebuanos to become full-fledged members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Brother Marlon Francisco, assistant district supervising minister, officiated on May 13 and 23, both held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mainggit; while Brother Sergio Vista, district supervising minister, on May 14 and 28 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Carcar City.

Both officiating ministers taught the teachings of God written in the Bible that faithful members prove their being true servants of God by remaining united with His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, that is, “like a branch attached to a tree, true members should not be separated from the Church. They must remain until the end to receive salvation,” explained Brother Vista.

Before receiving baptism, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership. Among them was Joyce Rivera from the Local Congregation of Badian, who said, “A friend of mine invited me to know about this Church. Here, I learned God’s pristine teachings, especially about the true religion. It’s fulfilling. I’m happy now that I’m a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.” — With reports from Kenny Mae Largo of INC News Section
