A new local congregation with a new house of worship was recently added to the Ecclesiastical District of Manila, a manifestation of the continuous growth of the Church Of Christ in the capital of the Philippines.

With gladness of heart, the brethren from the Local Congregation of Aplaya praised the Lord God for His many blessings to them as they gathered for worship on August 11, 2023.

Foremost of God’s graces that they were thankful for were being organized as a full-fledged local congregation that they may all the more be cared for and guided in their services of Him.

The members of the newly established congregation who live in and around the Manila port area called Aplaya used to attend worship services with the Local Congregation of Baseco. They now have their own house of worship, located also at the Bataan Shipping and Engineering Company (Baseco) Compound within the port area, which was dedicated to God during the said worship service.

Brother Wilson R. Cayago, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering. During his sermon, he exhorted the brethren to have genuine concern for the house of worship and utmost dedication to the worship of the Lord God no matter the situation in life. He reassured by citing Bible verses that doing so have great relevance to receiving God’s graces in this life and the one to come.

Recognizing the establishment of the Aplaya Congregation as a blessing to the district, Brother Cayago said, “We wholeheartedly praise and thank God for the love He shows through the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo. On the part of all ministers, ministerial workers, and Church officers in our district, we will lead the brethren in our unceasing unity with the Church Administration and intensive obedience to the words of God that they teach us.” — With reports from Michaela Misa of INC News Section
