“I’m so thankful to the Lord God for leading me to this day, I am now a true member of the true Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ),” enthused Maritess Mamauag from the Local Congregation of Solano, Ecclesiastical District of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. She was among the new members who received baptism in the said local congregation’s house of worship on April 29, 2023.

Mamuag went on to reflect on the Bible-based lesson she heard right before receiving baptism: “Being among God’s elect, we were reminded that we are now expected to all the more be active in obeying God’s commands. I will march on to serve Him and to share the true faith to more people.”

The baptismal service was officiated by Brother Federico Ramos, assistant district supervising minister. In his sermon, he pointed out from the Bible that being a member of the true religion, that is the Church Of Christ, is a blessing like no other as it is the only means to receive salvation. Coupled with that, he reminded all attendees, being obedient to God’s will, such as sharing the true faith, is paramount to keeping their membership.

“It will always be my delight to allot time, effort, and dedication in helping in the works of the Church,” said Eunessly Porras, an organist with the Local Congregation of Paniki and who was instrumental in the conversion of those baptized that day. “All the glory is due God. He helped me from inviting people up to the day of their baptism.” — With reports from Einjel Blessie Ganceña of INC News Section
