The Local Congregation of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, in the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West, reached its 33rd anniversary, which the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members there celebrated through various activities: worship service and evangelical mission, Care for Humanity, and socializing activity, all held on September 17, 2023.

Starting the day with the worship service and evangelical mission, the brethren brought their guests at their house of worship to listen to the preaching of God’s words by Brother Mark Jayson Montes, resident minister. He highlighted in the Bible-based lesson God’s master plan of salvation through Christ by becoming members in the true Church Of Christ.

“I felt very happy and proud that as we celebrate this great blessing, our anniversary, more people are joining the Church here in our congregation,” expressed Loliman Haringke, pioneer member and deacon.

Meanwhile, residents of Port Moresby benefited from the Care for Humanity event that followed. They received care packages containing basic food items, such as rice, canned goods, flour, bread, cooking oil, and noodles.

The commemoration ended with a socializing activity organized by the congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers. It featured Iglesia Ni Cristo original music performances, fun games, among others, that the attendees so enjoyed.

“I thank the Lord God for this privilege and joy of being a member of the Church Of Christ,” Rebecca Yari-Yari, deaconess, said. — With reports from Quiza Quiñola of INC News Section
