The Binhi Friendship Day, held on May 29, 2022, provided another avenue for teenaged Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the neighboring districts of Australia East, Australia West, and Micronesia to meet new friends and bond with one another.

Though the Binhi members met and bonded online, their respective district CFO overseers, Brothers Richard Esperanza of Australia East, RJ Jaraza of Australia West, and Jaey Paris Lorzano of Micronesia, observed that it nonetheless fulfilled its purpose in contributing to the edification of the youth’s faith and gave them further inspiration in serving the Lord.

“This Binhi Friendship Day is important to youth members in our district because this connected and bonded them with fellow Binhi members from other districts,” said Paris Paraan, the Binhi district president from Minchinbury, New South Wales Congregation. “It also allows the youth members at a young age to step out from their comfort zone and create a new friendship with other members of the Church and further edify the faith and the bond between one another.”

Darren Bautista, a Binhi member from North Sydney, New South Wales Congregation, said, “We have strengthened our bond with our organization knowing that we had other brethren that we can talk to as well as to gain their support.”

“This is good for the Binhi members to help them realize that they are not alone and that there are also youth members who are just like them, share the same interests, continue to put God first in everything that they do, and are always ready to help one another to support each other and all the more unite in serving and worshiping the Lord God.” Brother Esperanza remarked. — With reports from INC News Section
