Cherishing 36 years of God’s grace since its establishment, the Local Congregation of Sibulan in the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental hosted a “Welcome, Kapatid Ko (Welcome, My Brethren)” and evangelical mission on May 28 and 29, 2023 respectively.

During the first aforementioned activity held at the Solon Gymnasium in Purok Narra, Sibulan, Philippines, the Church officers welcomed to the stage the doctrinal instructees and prospective members, who then introduced themselves to all in attendance. Together, they engaged in fun-filled games and activities. Some talented brethren, from the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) to the Buklod organization, also entertained the attendees through their musical performances.

“I am truly happy for I was able to not only attend this gathering, but also join the activities, and meet many of the brethren in this local congregation,” Daniel Benitez, a doctrinal instructee, said.

The following day, the brethren went to their community to fetch their neighbors and friends whom they have invited to listen to the teaching of God’s words through the distribution of Pasugo: God’s Message magazines held a few days earlier. More than a hundred guests attended the evangelistic activity that was held later that same day at their house of worship.

Brother Marcelino Magtalas, district Light Of Salvation (LOS) overseer, officiated at the said gathering. Citing from the Bible, he taught that membership in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) is vital for one to attain salvation on Judgment Day.

“Having reached our congregation’s anniversary, and as proof of our unceasing unity with the entire Church in spreading the pure gospel of salvation, we’re all the more inspired to invite guests to attend this evangelical mission,” Brother Seighfreid Cabugnason, resident ministerial worker, stated on behalf of the congregation. “With God’s mercy and help, we’ve invited many,” he added. — With reports from Jemaima Jamito and Mark Mansueto of INC News Section.
