A special gathering for Buklod members or married couples in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of Saskatchewan on December 5, 2023 brought inspiration to married brethren across the district. It was conducted in commemoration of the 61st anniversary of the said organization.

From the Local Congregation of Regina, the host site, the preaching of God’s words by Brother Ramil Macaspac, district supervising minister, was streamed live to other local congregations throughout the district.

Citing biblical verses, he reminded the attendees to remain in complete obedience to the Almighty God to experience His abiding presence in their lives. Furthermore, he reminded the parents that God expects them to implement Christian discipline at home, to carefully watch their household, and to be good examples to their children by putting into practice the teachings of God that they are taught.

“As parents, it is important that we set an example to our children because they look up to us,” said Marissa Malang from the Regina Congregation. Her husband, Edwin, stated, “We also share our life experiences to our children so that they would also learn to have trust in and rely on God and in what He can do for us. We aim to instill in them that God will provide all the help we need and indeed whenever we ask for His help, He always answer us. Through this, I think, our children will do the same thing.”

Married couple, John and Roxanne Salvador, from the same congregation, expressed their gratitude to the Church Administration for such event. “Praise be to our Lord God for guiding our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, as he leads the entire Church around the world. This activity truly helps strengthen our firm resolve to uphold God’s commands,” said John. — With reports from Lailani Y.
