A total of 620 Church officers, together with aspiring ones, attended the special gathering held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Real in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon North in Quezon province, Philippines on June 30, 2023, once again receiving further inspiration from the words of God.

“I wholeheartedly thank our Lord God, for through this activity approved by the Church Administration, we can feel His love and compassion for all of the Church officers here in our district,” enthused Brother Crispin Basilio, district overseer for Church officers.

Brother Alex Alimon, district supervising minister, led the holy occasion. Through his Bible-based preaching, he reminded the congregants of the importance of their roles as officers inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), for they are God’s instruments in leading and guiding His flock. In doing so, he reassured the Church officers, they also reinforce their own faith and hope.

“I feel blessed and inspired, for through this special gathering, I was once again reminded that fulfilling sincerely our Church duties would all the more strengthen our faith,” said Pinky Pascual, a choir member from the Real Local Congregation.

Amid the gathering, 89 brethren took their oath as new officers in their respective local congregations. One of them, Jaymond Lazona, now a deacon from the Kinalumbakan Local Congregation, said: “My heart is full of gladness, for I truly believe that I received a great blessing from our Lord God today. I promise to Him that despite the problems that I am encountering in this life, I will dedicate myself in fulfilling my God-given duty in the Church.” — With reports from Glen Gurango of INC News Section
