Sports event in Marseille bring out athletic prowess among youth

Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from the Local Congregation of Marseille, France in the Ecclesiastical District of Western Europe participated in a sports activity on June 25, 2023 which brought out athletic prowess among them. The participants gathered at Stade Marseillais Université Club (S.M.U.C.), which is located at 65 Av. Clot Bey, 13008 Marseille.
Before the sporting activities began, the CWS officers led a warm-up session to prepare the participants for the exciting games awaiting them. The young brethren then engaged in soccer and track and field.
The participants demonstrated not only skills but also sportsmanship, which their fellow brethren and respective families cheered for.
“We played football and we ran. I liked it so much. I’m so happy,” said Aiselgi Morano.
The objective of this sports activity was “to engage in the children members of the Church in sports as these promote good health, and foster unity through physical exercise,” said Ronald Mendoza, CWS president. “Through these activities we also strengthen our faith. So together, we can have fun while taking care of our health, which is important so we can all the more serve our Lord God,” he added. — With reports from Eya Paris Alejo of INC News Section
