“It was one of the best experiences I’ve had this year as a choir member. I felt amazing throughout the event.”

Thus expressed Maria Talento, one of the choir members from the Local Congregation of Toronto, Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto, who took part in the activity dubbed “Choir Day” on December 3, 2023 at the function hall of their congregation’s house of worship.

The program commenced with a prayer led by Allan Masongsong, choir coordinator, followed by an introductory remark by Lisa Beroy, choir leader. Afterwards, recognitions and awards were given to choir members noted for their dedication in the performance of their duties.

The congregation’s organists prepared games which further gave joy to attendees. Then, the attendees spent time bonding with one another as they take their dinner. The program concluded with a prayer led by Nerissa Dulay, choir directress.

“It was a lovely experience to partake in the Choir Day with my fellow choir members, which allowed us to bond and celebrate all of our performances this passing year,” said Danielle Batoon, organist.

“This activity aims to unify and strengthen the love among choir members. We hope that, by having such activity, they will continue remaining steadfast and willing to sacrifice in order to perform their duties. No matter what the future holds, with God’s help, all the members of the choir in Toronto will remain strong in the faith. We will continue fulfilling our duties wholeheartedly for God’s glory,” Beroy stated. — With reports from Randy Magnaye of INC News Section
