In the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan, Church members and their guests assembled at the Yamatoshi Community Center in Yamato City for an evangelical mission held on September 15, 2023. This was also livestreamed to designated sites within the district.

Officiating the evangelical mission, Brother Kristoffer Reniel Gonzales, assistant district supervising minister, delivered his homily in Japanese. Quoting from the Holy Scriptures, he introduced to the attendees who the true God is—the Father in heaven.

“It is God’s commandment which we fulfill when we share His words for Him to be recognized as the true God and our Creator. We believe that sharing this truth is one of the reasons we were called as Church Of Christ members,” said Monalisa Sugihara, a deaconess from the Local Congregation in Yokohama.

At the conclusion of his biblical lecture, Brother Gonzales emphasized that it is only right that the Father be worshiped by all people whom He has created.

Convinced by this truth, Yuko Kitahara, one of the guests who attended this evangelistic event, decided to join the Church and continue listening to its biblical doctrines.

“I learned a lot from the minister’s preaching. It was very meaningful because it was very clear and easy to listen to. I was inspired by the doctrine that one’s salvation can be achieved by relying on the one true God,” shared Yuko. “I would like to encourage everyone to listen to the teachings in the Church Of Christ,” she added.

In an interview after the evangelical mission, Brother Gonzales conveyed, “The Church Administration can expect from us here in Tokyo that we will help in sharing the true faith to people of all walks in life here in Japan.” — With reports from Jansen Danganan of INC News Section
