Church officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia, who gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kuala Lumpur to attend a special gathering on September 5, 2023, had their zeal in fulfilling their respective Church duties renewed.

Their fellow officers from the Local Congregations of Bangsar, Bukit Indah, Jakarta, Johor Bahru, and Penang, which are situated far from the venue, gathered at respective places of worship that were connected to the host site via livestreaming.

Brother Ronaldo Lising, district supervising minister, officiated at the gathering. He reminded the Church officers through a Bible-based lecture about the value of their Church duties. He also detailed how they could perform their respective functions effectively and, most importantly, always in accordance with God’s will.

“Having been reminded on how to fulfill my duty efficiently, I will strive on doing so for the glory of the Lord God,” said Zamille Annang, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) vice-president in the Local Congregation of Bangsar.

“I’ve been a CWS teacher for the past four years, and attending special gatherings like this time and again renews my conviction regarding the importance of having a duty in the Church Of Christ,” remarked Sarrah Ramesh, a CWS Teacher.

“I felt so blessed for having my faith renewed,” expressed Cecilia Salting, finance officer.

“This special gathering of all the officers in our district reminded the Church officers that their respective duties in the Church are gifts from the Lord God and thus strengthened their resolve and that of the brethren who aspire to become Church officers,” emphasized Brother Bernard Bondoc, district edification overseer. — With reports from Kate Sebastian of INC News Section
