Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, is now home to the newest group worship service (GWS) under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean. Through the help of the Almighty God, the fourth GWS in the said country was established on January 14, 2024.

The inaugural worship service of the Ankara, Turkey GWS was held at the Limak Ambassadore Hotel in Kavaklıdere, Ankara. It was led by Brother Edmundo Tapang. In his Bible-based preaching, the assistant district supervising minister highlighted how God’s mercy and love are evident in the lives of His children who serve Him wholeheartedly.

Ethel Goffredo, one of the pioneering brethren and a finance officer, attested to God’s help for the brethren in the newly established GWS. She relayed, “We may go through various difficulties but we were never neglected by God. He always fulfills His promises to us. In fact, we were blessed to have a place of worship near our homes and places of work.”

According to Brother Danny Pregillana, resident minister, the brethren used to travel more than 400 kilometers to attend worship services as a part of the Istanbul GWS. “The establishment of the Ankara GWS is a manifestation that the Church Of Christ in Turkey continues spreading. It is our hope that with God’s guidance, more and more people here will know more about the doctrines we uphold and join the Church,” he said.

“We are truly thankful to our Almighty God and to the Church Administration, under the leadership of our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for remembering us here in Turkey. We promise to intensify and uphold even more our services to the Lord no matter what happens,” expressed Gerrafe Basilio, a finance officer. — With reports from Cleofe Ariola of INC News Section
